Way of measuring the area of hair loss for toppers
The width is to be measured from side to side, while the length is to be measured from front to back at the point of hair loss.
You are required to measure the area, adding an extra 1" to ensure there is enough hair to attach the clips to the hair in the outer area of the hair loss.
It is up to you to find the size of the topper base that best fits the measurements you took on your area of hair loss. Then, you will need to measure the length of the topper hair from the roots to the tips so that you can find the best topper hair length for you.
Placement of Topper
The coverage or placement of the topper is based on the base dimensions. Each stage of hair loss requires different coverage by a topper. A topper for the beginner stage of hair loss includes a topper that usually covers a smaller area either on the front, back or middle of the head. For this, we offer topper coverages of base dimensions, 3", 2.25", 4" and 5". The mid/progressive stage, a topper is used that usually covers a larger area than the beginning stage and is usually placed in the middle of the head. For this, we offer topper coverages of base dimension 6.5". The advanced stage will involve a topper that usually covers almost the entire head and is placed either on the complete front or over the entire head. For this we offer topper coverages of base dimension 9" and 11".
