Therefore, the products to use and the process to follow are going to be different. Here are some tips that will help you maintain your hair prostheses.

Tip 1: synthetic fiber wigs

First untangle the wig while being careful not to pull on the fibers. Then prepare a container of lukewarm water in which you will add shampoo specially designed for artificial hair. Completely submerge the prosthesis in water and soak for at least 15 minutes. Remove it afterwards and rinse it with plain water. Once done, blot the prosthesis with a towel and shake it lightly to remove the excess water. Spray your hair with conditioner and let it air dry on a suitable support. Pay attention to the support. Never put it outside of a wig stand or mannequin. As soon as it is dry, shaking it and untangling it with your fingers is enough to bring it back to its original style. This process should be repeated after approximately every 30 hours of use.

Tip 2: natural wigs

This maintenance process here will be a few differences from that of the synthetic fiber wig. First, gently brush the fibers on a flat surface, put shampoo in the hair using a moisturizing product and rinse it immediately without soaking it. Next, apply a very moisturizing conditioner and leave it on for a few minutes. Finally, rinse, sponge and let dry on a suitable support. To have a neat appearance of your natural hair, you need to do some styling. The curling iron is the instrument that helps with this effect.
